The main aspect of the role will be website coding (ASP.NET (C#) /HTML/CSS etc.) and related databases (Access/SQL etc.) although competence with graphics and design would also be a benefit, though not essential. A brief guide on the areas of work likely to be experienced is outlined below:
• ASP.NET (C#)
• Classic ASP*
• Databases (Access, SQL etc.)
• HTML/CSS
• JavaScript / Ajax
• Photoshop
Experience of Classic ASP would be ideal to assist with the maintenance and support of existing websites with a view to migrating sites into ASP.NET (C#), though this is not essential.
It is also important to note that education is less important than experience and the ability to get the job done to a high standard.
